Saturday Summary For June 9, 2012

It's Saturday - and there was no shortage of awesome happening this week!

Let's get it started, shall we?

  • Never Too Much Glitter gave us a great blog post on Tips for Nail Biters and Pickers - I'm a reformed biter and constant picker, so this was very informative to me - go check it out!
  • How about a DIY Nail Magnet? More Nail Polish went into painstaking detail about how to make your own and there are some wicked designs, too!!
  • Apparently this week there was an explosion of drama within the Indie Polish world and issues with glitters curling and zinc balls! Check out Pretty & Polished's post about these issues and good ways to resolve them with your seller.
  • How about some NEW LAYLA HOLOS?? The Holo Queen has our first look at 8 New Shades coming soon!
  • Check out The Top 5 Summer Nail Polish Trends by Gotham Polish!
  • Alizarine Claws gives us the First Look and Swatches of the OPI Germany Collection!
  • Orly Holiday 2012 Promotional photos are hitting the web this week thanks to Everything2k!
  • The Beauty Department shows us a stellar way to make a DIY Manicure Kit! I ran out to my car immediately and grabbed my zebra glasses case to do this!
  • Debbie at The Crumpet is doing a month long series on blogging - with tips, tricks and all kinds of cool information on starting/running and growing your blog! I recommend reading it ALL!
Picture time!
So I told you yesterday that I re-worked my watermark.
I also re-worked my border design and I think it's much more aesthetically matchy to my blog in general.
So here are the peaks at that along with my hauls for this week:

Cults Nails - Manipulative

NARS - Night Porter

Maisie Shine - Orion's Belt

Cult Nails - Fly With Me

Cult Nails - Hypnotize Me

Cult Nails - Living Water

And last but not least - my wonderful swap with Elizabeth from Nail Polish Is My Crack sent me this amazing Toxic Seaweed!
Funny side note - for those of you with good memories and a history reading my blog will know that my boyfriend is no stranger to being a swatch guinea pig when I get new polishes. So when Toxic Seaweed came home he said I could borrow his finger (which led to three fingers since I wanted to see Living Water and Orions Belt, too) to test it out. As he was painting it he said "Ooooh, this is a nice jelly!"
Say what?! He said "Hey, I listen sometimes"

Notice all these Cult Nails? I just got into them - and I'm also giving a bunch away, too!
