We're in Georgia where it rarely snows in winter and we had all kinds of crazy this week with snow and weather and school closures. Woosh. If you are in a snowy place, I hope you're safe and with power and heat! It is COLD!
SO today, today I have a gloriously beautiful collection to show you from the always awesome Literary Lacquers. This is The Community Collection that came out around the fall of 2013, I don't have all of it for you today but a good chunk of the large collection to show you.
Today I have a new to this blog brand to share with you lovelies - ALIQUID Lacquer. This brand has some very cute polish, in a wide array of styles that I really like. Turns out they also have a polish that has quickly become a favorite in my stash. Read on to find out what it is!
Hey sweeties! It's almost February, and so begins the mass hysteria that is Valentine's Day. You may or may not celebrate it, you may or may not like all the cutesy hearts and pink and red everywhere, but you have to admire there are some fun nail stuffs that come out this time of year. Leave it to Incoco to rock Val Day with some amazingly sophisticated AND whimsical new appliques!
When I posted the Carrie Underwood Collection from Nicole by OPI last week, I was asked how similar it was to a couple of polishes. I looked for the polishes I had that as closely resembled Backstage Pass as possible, and here we go!
Today is a little something different. Nory of Fierce Makeup and Nails and I are doing a bit of a twinsy type post and we are both going to show you our stashes/work stations/etc... I got a bit overzealous with mine, there is a 25 minute video of the entire area and an extensive "review" on my hand care products, and after the video there is a complete photo breakdown of everything inside my storage drawers! Ready!?
Nicole by OPI is releasing some new colors into the wild known as their core collection. So you know what that means - these will be colors you can find throughout the year, not just this month, these are sticking around! And they certainly picked some beauties to turn permanent, come see what I mean...
Hey yo! I have a fun little couple of manis to share with you today based around some decals I was recently sent to review by Moon Sugar Decals. I have reviewed their decals before, which you can see HERE - and I'm back with some new designs they just launched! And since metallic nails are all the rage right now (at least they are in my house) - I figured I'd slap these puppies over something shiny!
Hey ya'll! How about some nail art today to break up all these swatch posts? Today is Thursday, which means it's time for another installment of Golden Oldie Thursdays put on by the Crumpets Nail Tarts group on Facebook. If you aren't in that group I highly suggest you get up in there, some great challenges are conceived over there! Anyway - enough of that biz - let's check out todays G.O.T. - Blue!
I have been burning my heels off pacing away for this collection to land on my doorstep. Part of it came last week, but as I was about to post it, I found out that the rest of the pieces would be coming in shortly, so I held off to show you the full collection all at once. As a longtime lover of No Doubt/Gwen Stefani/LAMB, I can tell you that this collection is SIGNATURE GWEN all the way. Maybe not the most groundbreaking, but this is what I would expect of a collection bearing the Stefani name, and it did not disappoint.
As it is the start of the year, there are LOTS and lots of new polish collections hitting the shelves of your local and online shops. I am definitely loving all of the choices right now! Because of this, I have a serious week of collection swatches to show you. There will be a mix of indie and mainstream so I hope you find there is a little something for everyones tastes and budgets. Today I am excited to share the newest collection from Philly Loves Lacquer, a brand I have been seeing around the web for quite some time now - let's get to it!
I have a sweet treat for you today! Nicole by OPI recently announced they were partnering up with country megastar Carrie Underwood to release a rather huge lot of polishes. 14 in fact. Today....I have those to show you - and while the promo shots may have indicated they were a little on the tame side - they are anything but! I found that I quite fell in love with a lot of these!
Ok - well let me re-phrase that - it's Sherlock Day in the USA!
I realize a lot of you have already seen the whole season, but it's just starting tonight over here, and unlike most things, I decided to wait and NOT download it and watch it organically.
And in honor of the US Premiere, a bunch of bloggers are doing Sherlock Inspired Manicures today. If you have one to post, you can hashtag it on any social media as #ManiLocked2014
Hey weekenders! I've got a sweet little trio of polishes to show you today from a brand thats new on this blog - Honey Bunny Lacquer. The polishes I'm showing you today are from her Alice in Chains collection. Now, if you're old like me, you know who AiC is - in high school we freakin' LOVED Alice in Chains. Even now, decades later, their music still stands the test of time, despite the death of two very prominant members of the band. Needless to say - I love this collection and its inspiration, pretty hard! Come along and check it out!
Oooh do I have a decadent little post for you today! Nicole by OPI recently partnered up with Dove chocolates to bring a really cool sweepstakes to win 2 gorgeous chocolate inspired polishes as well as a coupon for a free Dove candy bar. I have loved Dove chocolate for as long as I can even remember it being around, so sign me up!
Today I have a "double-whammy" for you guys! Not only is it a piece for the Digit-al Dozen's Monochrome Week, but it also fills in as a prompt for the GOT Challenge (Golden Oldie Thursdays) - so look at me - multi-tasking posts and gettin' it done!
I'm taking a short break from the Digit-al Dozen this week/today to bring you another in the Pure Tutorials Series I'll be doing here on the blog once a month. Pure Nail Lacquer sponsors a few bloggers to produce tutorials doing anything we want with any of their polishes - so today I decided to do a pretty easy/everyone can do it type of tutorial - Rainbow Leopard! Truth be told I was a bit at a loss for what to do this month, so Nory of Fierce Makeup & Nails is to thank for this idea!
Todays post is old. You haven't seen it before, but its still old. And it's pretty obvious, because my nails look so nice in this post, before fall when they started breaking all the time and I couldn't do anything to make them grow nice (this is because I stopped using Rejuvacote, which I will never do again). Anyway - this and the fact that TWO of the manis I did this week have all but disappeared from my computer so I had to pull a mani from the vault!
Heeeeey!! It's time for some Digit-al Dozen action up in heeeeeere! This months theme is Monochrome and, in theory I was pretty stoked on the theme...until I had to act on it. It is HARD to do five full monochrome manicures, in case you wondered! Anyway - let's check it out!
As you know, I'm in the Digit-al Dozen, and last year we took our presence out of the shadows and started up a lot of social media aspects of the group. We now have a blog (newly revamped, too), an Instagram, FB, Twitter, Tumblr,...all that jazz.
Well now that the holidays are over we all decided to bring you ANOTHER awesome giveaway to get 2014 rolling in style!
Follow through to enter and see all of the amazing prizes we have had sponsored for this!
So I've had a pretty challenging week. This post should have been up nearly 48 hours ago, but as fate would have it, I got sick on the day I procrastinated to do it. And then just other stuff - it's been rough but here we are - post in transit! My bud Debbie has created this cool little challenge to use our trieds, so todays prompt is PINK - I took out a pink I haven't used since when I first bought an wore it well over a year ago!
Nory of Fierce Makeup and Nails and Myself have decided to have a Sherlock Inspired mani/nail art day in honor of the premiere of Season 3 on January 19th.

Happy day today! One of my favorite things in blogging life is when a new batch of polishes show up from Chirality. It's no secret I adore the brand AND the couple behind it, they always drop some amazing lacquers with attitude, and I find they are one of those brands that just has a great story each and every time. This time they are releasing a line based on Ghosts...not cheesy movie ghosts, but real, scary, haunting your soul ghosts.
Hello there lovelies! Today I am reviewing some water decals from Born Pretty Store. You might also catch a glimpse of a new polish that will be on the blog this week, too. But...no spoilers!
I have a really cute little item to share with you today! Funny story about this manicure. This week I saw this gorgeous polish on The Crumpet and I thought to myself "Well, that isn't something I normally would buy (its sort of red) but it is STUNNING" and then I had wished I'd seen it when I had placed my order a few months back with that brand. As I was digging for polishes to stamp with for this mani, I remembered the Mentality polishes stamp really well and I still had a few of them untried...so I'm digging for them and I remember the polish I loved on Debbie's blog was a Mentality and I think, omg how awesome would it be if I HAD bought it in my last order? Turns out, I DID!!! Happy dance!
Todays post is part review and part "when manicures go horribly wrong" type of deal. I've had this product sitting on my table for way too long waiting for my review and it has just been one thing after another to get it up and out...read on to see how this thing has plagued me from day one.
Today I've got some cool new treatment products from the Nicole by OPI brand to share with you guys! It can't always be about the pretty stuff, if you're putting all the pretty polishes over crap nails, whats the point? It is ALWAYS a must to take the time to care for your nails, something I don't hit on alot here but am ADAMANT about behind the scenes. These 4 products shown here will get you straight on the path to good nails!
I'm what you call, "behind" in some posts and reviews, so I'll be doing a little double posting here and there this coming week to catch up. Today I have a review on the newest offering from China Glaze - Crinkled Chrome. I know the "weirder" textures aren't loved by alot of people, but I like them pretty okay, and I gotta hand it to China Glaze for trying new things!
Hi loves! Today I have a super cool little item to review. You know I love tape and FUN manis - so todays review is definitely something I was SUPER excited to use and show you, since it combines tape AND fun!
Hello! I swear there WILL be polish posts coming! I have been stuck in my house working on contstruction which subsequently blocked off my nail table and needless to say, I went 12 days without a polish change. But thats done now! Today I finally got around to doing swatches and catching up on reviews and all that good stuff, so this weekend you should have some good stuff to check out! In the meantime though - REMINDER ALERT! The Nail-Art-A-Go-Go Challenge starts February 1st! Clicky clicky for details.

Happy New Year guys! I hope you all had a safe and awesome night, we did what we always do, nothing! But this year was the first one where my boyfriend was awake til midnight, so that's a special occasion! I actually worked on my closet all day and finished about 11:45pm. Anyway - the purpose of todays post is something that's going around and I was sort of talked into doing it as well - My 2014 Bucket List!
