OPI - Couture de Minnie Swatches

OPI announces the launch of its Couture de Minnie collection, including four limited edition nail lacquers and one new Liquid Sand™ shade. Created in honor of Disney’s beloved character, the Couture de Minnie line explores the fashion-forward side of Minnie Mouse, mixing pink, fuschia and red shades with textural elements. In addition to three crème lacquers, the Couture de Minnie line features a red and white polka dot glitter shade and the strawberry-hued Liquid Sand nail lacquer in Magazine Cover Mouse to give nails a sparkly, matte finish.

“Last summer, OPI created a ‘Vintage Minnie Mouse’ line. Women around the world fell in love with the fun and playful shades evocative of Minnie’s traditional look,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “This year, OPI is exploring a different side of Minnie Mouse. The Couture de Minnie collection draws inspiration from Minnie’s iconic style and incorporates trends most recently seen on the runways, from standout shades to fun textural elements.”

It's time for some mousin' around!!!

OPI - A Definite Moust Have
OPI - Chic from Ears to Tail
OPI - Innie Minnie Mightie Bow
OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse
OPI - Minnie Style

I'm gonna preface this post by saying something weird...I am in love with red!
You probably know I am not a big fan of red polish, but have a huge crush on pink. Well, this collection has definitely swayed my dislike of red...there is a red in here that blew me out of the water you guys! Just watch...

OPI - A Definite Moust Have - 2 coats plus top coat

A gorgeous melon/salmon sort of shade with a gorgeous pink shimmer! Formula was fantastic! Only took 2 coats and in all honesty, the 2nd coat looked as good as the first. Regular non-bloggers take note, one coat does the trick here.

Look at that glorious shimmer! Loved this!!

OPI - Chic from Ears to Tail - 3 coats plus top coat.

A pale blue pink with a very hidden silvery shimmer. The formula on this was so-so. A little hard to level out but nothing terrible. It was the least easy to get good application on, but I find that to be the case with most pastel type shades. I do wish the shimmer was a bit more obvious, I actually thought this was a creme until the light hit it just right.

If you look real close you can see some of that shimmer near the middle of my ring finger (the middle finger in this pic)

OPI - Innie Minnie Mightie Bow - 1 coat plus top coat

This is the runner-up in the collection. I love this so so much for so many reasons! Firstly it has a fantastic golden shimmer running through this that just makes it look super fiery and adds a bit of orange to the overall look. Second - the formula! This is just one coat!

See that shimmer? Oh baby!

OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse - 2 coats

Magazine Cover Mouse is a sort of medium to dark raspberry texture with pink and gold glitters. Holy molies - this is my pick of best in show here. Is it obvious I am seriously in love with textures?!

Looooooooooook at those glittery bits will you!?!?

Here is a shot with top coat so you can see those glitters come to life!! It honestly reminds me of a red galaxy - like the red equivalent of Starry Starry Night or something.

OPI - Minnie Style - 1 coat

I've applied the glitter, Minnie Style over the texture polish Magazine Cover Mouse. It is one size of hex glitter in matte white and metallic magenta. Nothing more, nothing less. Albeit, somewhat boring, I actually like it and I love the formula, a ton of glitter comes out, its not thin and runny or thick, its perfect. You can see how much glitter I got from just a standard brush on application of one coat.

This picture signifies everything perfect about this collection. Gorgeous glittering pinks, golds and reds...

Couture de Minnie nail lacquers each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application. Liquid Sand lacquers should always be worn without top coat. This limited edition promotion will be available beginning June 2013 at professional salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

  9. I really like all of these - especially the textured red and the glitter! Like everyone else I tend to just pass over collections that are all red and pink (as I have tons of reds and pinks already) but I think I need to have a closer look at these!
