Well hi there!
Welcome back to my blog!
Today is another prompt for the Neverending Pile Challenge, and its Frost!
Not the most popular of finishes, thats for sure. Luckily I just received the new MLB collection from OPI and there are a couple of frosts in it, so I figured I'd mash them up into a leopard print for todays prompt!

OMG! I feel like it's been near forever since I did Digit-al Dozen week. First I had the NAGG challenge and skipped a month, then I got sick and had to skip another! Talk about slack! But now I'm back on track for our Texture Week! So excited, as you know I love some texture, and with the exception of one day, this week is full of awesome textured polishes!

Here comes Day 3 of the Nail-Art-A-Go-Go Challenge! As this publishes I am somewhere in Nashville enjoying a concert! Its been like FOREVER since I went to an actual concert and not just a show in a bar - plus its one of my oldest favorite bands, The Pixies. So needless to say, I had to schedule this because we will be home late, I hope we're having fun!
Anyway none of that has to do with today, but you know, I have to have some different intros to these posts from time to time! Let's check out what todays prompt is and what I did!

I'm taking a short break from the Digit-al Dozen this week/today to bring you another in the Pure Tutorials Series I'll be doing here on the blog once a month.
Pure Nail Lacquer sponsors a few bloggers to produce tutorials doing anything we want with any of their polishes - so today I decided to do a pretty easy/everyone can do it type of tutorial - Rainbow Leopard! Truth be told I was a bit at a loss for what to do this month, so Nory of Fierce Makeup & Nails is to thank for this idea!

Digital Dozen Animal Week is now coming to an end.
=(
These are always fun, and this months challenge was no exception.
So today I did a striping tape mani with some leopard spots.
I've tried to show off different ways you can incorporate nail art trends with prints for something interesting. Let's see this final installment of my crazy leopard week!

Digital Dozen Goes Animal - Gradient Leopard Print

Hey all you Tuesday tarts!
Today I'm doing a leopard print mani in a gradient print...which is different than a straight gradient in that I'm gradiating the colors of the spots instead of the base.
I got this idea from the deeply lovely VERY EMILY a few weeks back, couldn't wait to give it a whirl!
Digital Dozen Goes Animal - 80's Leopard

It's another week of the amazingly awesome Digital Dozen challenges.
Our group has grown way past a dozen these days, but it just keeps getting better with age, like me.
But seriously...the challenge was ANIMAL and somehow I ended up thinking it was animal PRINT. I was going to re-do most of my mani's until some of the ladies said they were also doing prints, so yay. Crisis averted!
Instead of being creative, I decided, you know what? I love leopard print. So I'm going to do 5 days of different ways to wear a leopard mani.
30/31 Day Challenge: Day 8 - Metallic

Here we go with Day 8 of the Challenge - Metallic!
I'm gonna go ahead and apologize now for my nubbies (I broke a nail so down they went) and for the fact that my pictures are not clickable for this. I accidentally had my camera set on tiny pictures for something else and forgot to switch it back, so these are lesser quality than I would like!
Thanks for swinging by - make sure and visit these ladies who are also chuggin' through the challenge as well:

| For this mani I used a base of Milani Silver Dazzle One Coat Glitter. It actually is best at 2 coats but is totally awesome and full of black grey and silver depth. I love it so much. |

| The silver designs were made using Essie No Place Like Chrome from their new metallic polish line. |

| Topped with Gelous and Coloc Club Vivid Top Coat. |

Teal Tuesdays - Funky French!

Typically, a funky french is a twist on the standard French Manicure. And it's pretty easy to twist it but still keep it "Frenchy".
I took this opportunity to try out some Flocked Leopard Black and Gold 'Fluffy' Nail Stickers that I received from KKCenterHk to review.
![]() |
| I used the stickers over a mani of Forever 21's Love & Beauty in Teal. A polish I recently acquired in a 3 pack of Blues through Copious for yet again, only a PENNY! |
I was THOROUGHLY pleased with these nail stickers. They went on with ease and they stuck so well!
Seriously, after this dried, I tried really hard to peel them off and it was harder to get these off than my actual polish they were stuck to! But they came off with ease when I used some acetone on them.
They retail for $2.90 for the pack you see here - which will give you 2 full manicures if you use both shapes. You can also cut them to a different shape if need be or use them on a friend!

It's Tuesday and I'm SOO late this week!
Doing two mani's in one day is hard work, even when I don't do them on the same day!
I almost skipped this, but I feel so bad when I don't do a TT challenge, I feel like a hypocrite!
So anyway, this week our challenge is COPYCAT.
Copy a mani you like, using teal!
Well..the mani I chose to copy already had teal in it, but mine is different!
HERE is the mani I am recreating today!
![]() |
| Here I've used a base of Color Club's Rule Breaker. |
![]() |
| Then I taped it off down the middle and painted the other half with Sinful Colors Slate. |
![]() |
| Added leopard print on the grey side using Rule Breaker and Black polish. |

| Then I finished it all off with a coat of Out the Door Top Coat. |
Hope you enjoyed my Teal Tuesday Copycat Mani!

Rockabilly Luau Theme - Leopard Print
- Saturday, July 14, 2012

Welcome to the 3rd Mani in my Rockabilly Luau Theme Week!
I was contacted by Rockabilly Luau asking if I could come up with some Luau themed nails they could show the ladies attending the event as inspiration. I was so excited I decided to dedicate an entire week (or more) to it!
Most of the manicures you will see for this theme will include tutorials, I imagine a lot of people viewing these won't be familiar with some terms and techniques, so I am going to try and break it down as best as I can for everyone, and not just my regular readers.
To see all of the manicures in this theme - click here!
To see all of the manicures in this theme - click here!
So let's get started on these leopard print nails!
Here is what you will be achieving:
This look is so simple and easy! You will need the following:
A gold polish, a medium brown polish and a black polish.
(For this I wanted some extra sparkle, so my black is actually a black with gold shimmer)
You will also need a dotting tool/bobby pin for best results.
Paint your nails with the gold until they are opaque.
Next, get your brown (you can use acrylic paint in lieu of polish if necessary) and your dotting tool. Drop some color on a piece of paper so it's easier to dip your tool into.
Make random dots of different sizes on all of your nails like so. These have a little bit of a dark outline because I started with a brown that was way too dark! Make sure you brown isn't so dark you can't tell it apart from your black!
After you have dotted all of the brown, go in with your black (paint or polish) and outline around the dots haphazardly, in C shapes, in parentheses shapes and make some extra little spots in there too where you might have some bald spaces of gold background showing through.
Lookin' good. Now you have this and you will need to clean up any bits of paint/polish around your cuticles. Take a concealer brush or paintbrush, dip it in acetone and wipe around the edges of your nail to remove the excess polish. This is my go to method for clean up, q-tips are good too but sometimes they leave cotton fibers behind.
You're all done! Wait until it is COMPLETELY dry and add your top coat. Add it on thick so it covers up the spots and lays flat, also laying it on thick will help to avoid any streaking of your art.
Products Used:
Sephora by OPI Never Enough Shoes
Sinful Colors Nirvana
Femme Couture Golden Honey
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
