Neons by OPI - Collection Review

Ready for some summer brights?
I know I am...but then again, I am year round.
Today I've got the new Neons by OPI collection to show you, so get out your favorite pair of sunnies and let's check em out!

Life Gave Me Lemons - 2 Coats (+ 2 thin coats of white base coat)
Definitely one of my favorites of the collection - super bright and fun!

You Are So Outta Lime - 2 Coats (+2 thin coats of white base coat)
Beautiful bright neon green

Juice Bar Hopping - 2 Coats (+2 thin coats of white base coat)
Love this neon orange juice shade - SO bright!

Down To The Core-al - 2 Coats (+2 thin coats of white base coat)
This is a pretty coral shade with shimmer. The shimmer is more obvious in person and the polish itself is less neon than shown here. This polish reminds me a good bit of China Glaze Pink Plumeria. Will give that a comparison soon!

Hotter Than You Pink - 2 Coats (+2 thin coats of white base coat)
GORGEOUS! Neon pink with bluish shimmer.

Push and Pur-Pull - 3 Coats (+2 thin coats of white base coat)
This one was a little sheerer than the others for me so I added a third coat - beautiful eggplant purple neon!

The white base coat that accompanies this collection is really nice for these neons. If you have a white polish that covers perfect in one coat, use that, but otherwise I definitely suggest using the OPI choice, because its thinner and coats really well at 2 thin coats. I suggest that whatever white you choose to pair these with that you make sure its not patchy or streaky before applying the neons or you will end up needing more coats to cover that patchy business.
The neons had a kind of thick formula, but not in a goopy way. They coated well and 2 coats was perfect for opacity (except with the purple because it was slightly more jelly) - Overall? Totally pleased with adding these to my collection.

Neons by OPI will also be available in GelColor, marking the launch of OPI’s first neon gel shades. GelColor is a professional salon service that offers a high-shine, 100% gel finish that lasts for weeks with a 30 second LED cure.
