I'm just gonna start this post off with a giant HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!! Today is Animals day for 33DC. Now let me start by saying I almost blew it off. I had a long week of getting behind on blog stuff and I kind of just wanted to scrap this prompt, but then I remembered that I had really wanted to do THIS mani since the summertime. So...in true Missy fashion, I put on my big girl pants and I got out my paint and got to work. So let's go look at my favorite Foodimal - Barry the Strawberry.
It's another day of the Crumpets Nail Tarts' 33DC (aka the 33 Day Challenge...not to be confused with the Pepsi Challenge, and certainly not to be confused with omg I feel old for saying that). Todays prompt is abstract. And for the record, after yesterdays massive photo editing session to get the OPI Holiday Collection up to show you guys, I was too pooped to polish....so I kind of phoned this prompt in by showing you a mani I had originally done for last weeks Skittles theme, but scrapped it for something else...it's still worthy of a look though because it's a gorgeous polish!

Today I have another prompt for the 33DC Challenge. Today is Chinese. I got really swamped over the weekend and didn't even finish this mani until about 15 minutes ago. It is really unlike me to wait til the last minute to do a challenge mani, and it shows, because I hate this one!
This one is interesting - 33DC today with the prompt 'Pattern in your home'
Well...geez I don't have many patterns. I dont like a lot of crazy design patterns everywhere, I tend to like bold solids mixed in with leopard print, but who wants to see another leopard print from me, right?
So..instead I decided to pattern after the art in my home.

Hiiiii!!!! Today is the Indian prompt for the #33DC and boy, at first I was like uh what the heck am I gonna do for this!? But then...inspiration struck and here we are...
So...I'm late. But still... Last week we had a Mexico prompt for the 33DC but I was struggling and having a crap day, so I threw mine out. Over the weekend I decided to re-do it and try to keep moving forward. Its pretty generic, but I love the Day of the Dead so I HAD to.
It's Chevron Day!
33DC calls for the Chevron design today, I always like this one. Not to be confused with a Zig Zag which is kind of different, if you're getting technical.
I almost DID do a zig zag today and then I was like DUH.
Hello!!! Back to the grind...I had a nice relaxing Sunday watching a bunch of Netflix with the boyfriend and cuddling with my kittie, and now it's back to the business! Today is a new week of 33DC Challenges! Today we have 'Art With Your Oldest Untried' - I dug up one of my absolute oldest, Spoiled - Ants in My Pants
I am back to the 33DC after Wednesdays minor hiccup - today we are talking Texture. Oh yeah, Missy loves the texture! I had JUST gotten these two amazing NEON textures a week or so back - so I was all over using them for this challenge!
Hidey ho! Another day, another challenge! Today in the 33DC we are doing Tribals. Can you hear me groaning from there? Yeah, I almost hate tribal designs. They're up there with those ikat designs in that I just don't dig 'em. They can be cool, and I actually kind of liked the ones I did today, but you can bet if I'm not doing them for a challenge, I'm just not doing them period.
33 Day Challenge - today is Tape! Sometimes it gets hard to think of new ways to do a tape mani - and I give it up to the people who can really get intricate and ingenius with it. I usually choose to go the easier, less amount of tape, less psychotic overdose of impatience route...
For this tape mani I am using 2 of my new matte polishes from Mentality.
During one of our random afternoon conversations, Miss Debbie Crumpet mentioned I should check these out. Next thing I knew I had like 7 of them in my shopping cart. I picked a bunch of awesome, rich fall tones too, so expect to see those throughout this season/challenge.
This was super super basic. I just threw on a base coat, in this case I used Butter London Nail Foundation to give a slight tint and then when it was dry I put on my tapes in criss-cross pattern formation.
Then I just did a loose/messy gradient using the two matte polishes, Resilience and Hope, they are easy one coaters so this was pretty snappy - but I think I sponged down colors about 3 times before I pulled the tape up.
I also took pictures of this glossy but I thought this way looked so much better that I just threw them away.
This is with no top coat at all - and I think the texture of the matte and the ridges from the tape give it a pretty interesting appearance.
