Hola!
I'm late today, shoulda done this much earlier but I did one of those "oh I will just do this tomorrow when I wake up"s and what do you know - I got sick, stayed up all night and then slept all day.
Come 7 o clock at night I can finally keep my eyes open without a raging headache, so here comes the post!
Remember when I used to do the Back in Time series? Well, Ashley and I took a break from it while she was off on vacation and now we are getting back into it. Today we do our own, then late in the month we do each others! Let's check it out!

Hey hey Happy Monday! I have Mondays off but I still have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn so I'm not a big fan. But hey...its MSMD Day and that's always fun.

This week I went a different direction...instead of picking a manicure to copycat, I went with a piece of art.

It was something I saw a couple of weeks ago and just died to try on my nails.

Well, truth be told I had hoped for more...but I still did like it.

I'll save the inspo for the end!

Colors Used:

Yellow - Milani Yellow Whiz

Green - Sinful Colors Olympia

Blue - Sinful Colors Be Happy

Pink - Milani Fast Fuchsia

Purple (used for some stamping) - Illamasqua Jo'Mina

This was the inspiration - it's a vector image by Dry Icons.

It completely reminded me of something Andy Warhol would have done!

It's Teal Tuesday Time!
This week - Color Blocking!
This will be my first color blocking attempt.

Challenges are fun - they give you something new to try, get outside your comfort zone every now and then!

I like em...as long as they don't involve water marbling. Because THAT I do not like!
So...I had a pretty cool idea in my head, total fail in execution though.
Sometimes I can let these things go, because I'm overally critical and usually the things I don't like, most do. But this...was yuck. My layers ended up terribly thick and my index smudged so bad from the thickness I had to go over it with more polish and it was just....gross.

It was part tape, part freehand. It started out as all tape but some of them smudged up and I had to wing it...

The teal is Spoiled Distant Memory.

The purple is Illamasqua Jo'Mina. And the yellow is Milani Yellow Whiz.

So...I almost let it go...but I couldn't.

I HAD to re-do it....

I've been experimenting with lighting and backgrounds, trying to get a more consistent look to my blog, so these are one of those experiments and to me the color seems slightly off. I cant gauge it by the pink color since I know thats off from using it over the teal and it not being opaque to begin with. But my skin looks off for sure...

So anyway - tape blocked this bad boy. Much happier.
