Oh I am DRAGGING!
I have not even cared to do my nails, it's like I'm on a real vacation.
But today, I am pulling something from the vault while I really do my nails today!
This is just kind of a quick and dirty swatch/nail art I did a few months back using a gorgeous polish by Julep.
This is Lena by Julep - a super pretty turquoise shade with a spectacular golden shimmer.
And this is 2 coats of Lena with an accent nail of a rose tattoo.
I LOOOOOVE this polish so much. I forgot I even owned this polish until I pulled this swatch out, totally going to be a go-to polish for summer!

Hey Guys!
I'm just gonna say it now - I am GIDDY over these nails. They were so fun, and my favorite so far of the challenge. I even wore them for like 3 days, which hardly ever happens and got TONS of compliments on them!
The theme for today is ARTWORK - So obviously, I am inspired by Tattoo Art. Moreso because my boyfriend is an amazing painter of traditional tattoo style art so I just HAD to do something like that!

| Now while the focal point of this mani was done with temporary tattoos - the base they sit on was painstakingly sponged using 6 different shades of nude, cream and various browns to get the perfect look of a sheet of parchment tattoo flash. |

| Then I found 5 different tattoos that were small enough to fit on my nails. I'm bummed I kinda jacked up the anchor nail by putting the actual anchor part too far off my nail, so it just looks like a chain on a rod! |

| Alas - this is a special mani to me for a couple of reasons. My boyfriend for one, and also the 'Mom' nail as it was just recently my moms birthday and she's no longer here, so that's always a crappy day in my house. |

| On the ring finger here you can really see the parchment design under the tattoos. |

| After adding on the temporary tattoos, I finished this mani with a coat of Butter London Matte Top Coat. |

I may or may not be cheating on this one.
I made this mani for a guest post but I've not featured it here...and because it's been a crazy weekend it's really this or nothing - so today is Gradient Day on the 30/31 Day Challenge - here is mine!

| For this gradient I used A England Saint George and Catrice Dirty Berry. I have a tutorial HERE on how to do this flawless looking gradient (it's even a video tutorial!) |

| Then I stamped over the gradient using Konad Special White polish and various tattoo themed stamping plate images. This sparrow is from Q1 Konad. Stamped using Saint George and Dirty Berry under the white stamping. |

So what I've done here is painted my nails with Milani Fresh Teal. It's classified as a Neon and it was almost totally opaque in one coat. Very nice polish with great application.
My boyfriend did my letters since it was for my non-dominant hand! He was nervous but I think he did a great job. Then the thumb is a temporary tattoo!

Now, before you say anything - I KNOW I said last week that I would use Illamasqua Viridian for Teal Tuesday - but then yesterday I got a swap package from my lovely friend Debbie and she had included one of my coveted wishlist items, Nubar Stylish Peacock. So after swatching it on my boyfriend and seeing how amazingly it applied, I simply HAD to use it.
SO thats the base, then I stamped with Konad White and Sally Hansen Rapid Red.

Stamping Sunday is underway!
This week the vote was Sky's The Limit - there were so many ways to go with this one!
But I knew I could use my awesome Konad Q1 plate to pull some cool designs into my theme.
So I opted to start off with Up Colors Arco Azul-Iris light blue holo.
Then I sponged on Layla Ocean Rush holo on the tips to give a slightly darker blue gradation.
It's pretty much impossible to see in these pictures though!
Now - how awesome does this mani match one of my Lux Deville Handbags?
I say - PERFECTO!

In other news...I really want these new Hunger Games/Capitol Colors China Glaze polishes...but Sally's lies and says they are in stores when they aren't! Why Sally's?
