Well...this is my first post from my tablet...its a little weird.
Hopefully there won't be any hiccups with it!
Today I'm showing you some goldish chevrons I did using my bare nail as the base...might be the first time you've seen me naked now that I think about it!

Today I'm showing you some goldish chevrons I did using my bare nail as the base...might be the first time you've seen me naked now that I think about it!
For this Mani I placed a chevron shaped nail guide on the nail and painted the gold area over my bare nail. Bare meaning just a base coat. If you don't have Chevron guides you can just cut a piece of tape and use the right angle/corner of it to make the same design.
After I did the gold polish I plopped on a coat of quick dry top coat.
Once the polish was dry, repeat the chevron/tape process again for the tips using a blackened gold shimmer polish.
Again, finish with a quick dry top coat and you're all set!
These are the polishes I used for this manicure:

30/31 Day Challenge: Day 30 - A Tutorial

Todays prompt for the 31 Day Challenge is 'A Tutorial'
This can be to make one, to follow one or...I dunno, something with a tutorial!
I had grand ideas to recreate my Glitterfish mani today with a tutorial, alot of people had asked me for one so I really wanted to do this, since Day 1 of this Challenge.
But as is the case most of the days of MY life, this goal was not meant to see fruition.
I simply don't have a memory card large enough in my camera to film a lengthy tutorial. So I decided I would try to film one on my webcam. After an hour of creating the mani and filming it, waiting for polishes to dry, etc...I replayed it and it was just a mess.
So....long story short, today I am following someone else's tutorial.
I found this on the Dazzle Dry Facebook page a few days ago and figured I'd give it a go:

So here is my version:

Once dry, I taped my final section and painted the tips with China Glaze Midtown Magic. A reddish brown with gold and red shimmer.

Finished the manicure off with Butter London Quick Dry Topcoat.

I ADORE this color combination!

I apologize in advance that I had every intention of doing the "Homage Month" that was going around Tumblr at the beginning of the month. Unfortunately I lost my computer and had issues getting pics uploaded and next thing I knew the month was more than half over and it was not worth it. Lo and behold, some of the exceptional ladies at the Purple Crumpet Fairy group had devised Monkey See Monkey Do Mondays, which is essentially the same thing, only done once a week! I love it!
Here is my inspiration for this week:
This awesome mani and tutorial can be found HERE.
Hope I did it justice, I've been obsessed with the idea of black and nude lately, and when I saw this mani I knew I wanted to recreate it in those colors...
I used Color Club Nomad Nude, Fingerpaints Black Expressionism and Hard Candy Matte Top Coat.
