I know it's crazy, but yes, this is my THIRD post today!
But you know...my Julep box came today so I knew you'd want to see it!

Here is the box - bigger this month, got me excited there might be something extra in it. Not.

So here we have the two polishes, Ally and Janel, the Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum, Julep literature and a Rock Candy stick!

So - I couldn't WAIT to get the serum on my fingers. It took about 20 clicks to get the product up in the bristle area and it went on nicely. No smell. Sunk right in. It's only been a few hours so I will have to review this properly after further testing!

My Julep monthly Maven box rolled in today (add-ons will be here monday, boo!) - so I figured I would show you my monthly unboxing of it.
I opted in for the Bombshell this month - which consisted of Minnie and Adrianna polishes as well as Juleps new Rock Star hand creme.
Here is my freshly opened box! As always, adorable packaging with cuter little cards and quotes.
Everything out of the box. This months freebie is a Strawberry Mint lip balm. The tube is super cute and it smells really good. I usually toss these to my boyfriend since I have tons of lip balms, but I may keep this one for me.

Look at these pretties! I've yet to even open the hand creme box, so I can't comment on its smell - nah hang on. I will right now. It's right by me so why not!
For one, the box is super cute, with grafitti all over the side of it. It's 3 oz. and is a blend of Shea butter, Glycerin, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E. Hmmmph - it has one of those lids that clicks open but doesnt come off. Not a fan of those. Ok, so I cant comment on the smell unless I physically apply this to my hands. Be back in a few after it dries and I can type again.
Ok - so I'm back with my thoughts.
The tube looks like something you would buy at Victorias Secret, pink and fading to purple, bright and bold.
The smell - same. It smells like it came straight out of VS or some other god awful mall store. Its highly fragranced with some sort of floral. I don't necessarily hate it, but I prefer my hand creme unscented.
The formula is nice though, not greasy, it sank in well and timely and feels moisturizing without feeling heavy. Minus the scent I really really like the feel of it so far. After giving it about 10 minutes I kinda think I could love it if it would just smell less.
The polishes - Minnie and Adrianna. Minnie is a shimmery fresh fruity looking salmon color, Adrianna is a creamy kiwi color. I hope to swatch these soon!

Hey Gang!
My Julep Maven box arrived yesterday in yet again, lickety split time.
I didn't have much planned for today so I figured I would do a little unboxing for you.
First up, lets see what I went with this month:

I didn't have much planned for today so I figured I would do a little unboxing for you.
First up, lets see what I went with this month:
So I chose the usual, It Girl. It always consists of 3 polishes, and me being the uber polish skank I am, I want them ALL! This month we also got a free full size bottle of a new Julep Offering - Freedom Top Coat. They also had another new product out this month, Oxygen Nail Treatment, which I added on and ships separately. So I will have a separate post on that when it comes in (which is today).
Now lets see the goods in all their glory:
At first site - gorgeous gold tissue paper and the Julep literature cards that come with every box.
I've opened the tissue paper to reveal! A golden goodie bag, Freedom top coat in a cute box and my polishes wrapped in their usual paper bag and ribbon ensemble. Also some yum yum chocolate heart candies and the always lovely crinkle paper stuffing.
Here is everything unwrapped. Most every month Julep sends a little surprise gift in the box - this month it is a little travel eyelash curler. Pretty cute idea. Personally, I will never sway from my Shu Uemura curler, but it's a nice touch nonetheless, and perfect for travel or in your going out bag!
Here are the polishes that were available for the It Girl program this month, along with who they were inspired by:
Rebel - Named after Rebel Wilson, a stunning silver holographic
Joan - Named after Joan Crawford, a gorgeous plum rose with gold shimmer
Marion - Named after Marion Cotillard (love her!), a stunning teal blue with silver shimmer

Freedom Top Coat, a polymer topcoat that cures with regular light that mimics a gel finish.
This is probably the best box I've ever gotten from Julep - I love every single color to pieces, and I did a test on the Freedom Top Coat that I will show you later!!

So this month, after all the emails went out, Julep made a new box for the people who didn't want a crackle polish in theirs and called it the "Maven's Choice" box. I didn't get an email about this but saw it on another blog - thrilled me! I did not want a box this month because of the crackle polish choices so I was glad they added this other option.

| I love getting used to the random candies they send, and I love candy corn, so needless to say, after the piece my cat stole, the rest of these were gone as soon as the last picture was snapped! And glitters! Halloween glitters that are probably not eye safe but definitely are nail safe! I love when Julep throws in these little extras. |

| The Maven's Choice box contained Eloise, Lisa and Keira. Eloise is a new color launched this month - Smokey Indigo Blue Creme. Lisa is also a new color launched this month - A Warm Pebble Gray Creme. Keira seems to be an older shade - Deep Burgundy Creme. |
My overall thoughts on the box are good. I loved the glitter bonus as I have some Halloween mani's to do that I can include those in. As for the polishes, they all seem to be colors I don't have in my stash more or less so they should fit in nicely, I will try to swatch them this week now that I've got some free time to do so. Got my monthly Julep Maven Box on Friday - you aren't gonna believe it, so I had to take pics...I actually got the box without the bright wild blues/greens/teals in it!
Purging through my stash has made me realize I have WAY too many of these types of colors. So this month I opted for the subdued Classic with a Twist box that featured a Dark Grey and Mushroom Taupe, named Brandt and Sophie. This box also came with a Mascara, and I'm always up for trying those out since I can never find one I like under $25.
Let's get to the unboxing, shall we?

I quite like the box this month, it's kinda boring for me, but I need to collect more of these shades and less of the bright ones that were offered for this month. Will get these swatched soon and post!
