Hey sweeters!!
I am SORRY that I am posting a holiday mani the day before a holiday.
I generally like to post these things far in advance for you to do them if you want or have ideas for your holiday events. I'm slack city on this one, though!
But hey - last minute mani for work or school if you don't like wearing green!

Todays post is old.
You haven't seen it before, but its still old.
And it's pretty obvious, because my nails look so nice in this post, before fall when they started breaking all the time and I couldn't do anything to make them grow nice (this is because I stopped using Rejuvacote, which I will never do again).
Anyway - this and the fact that TWO of the manis I did this week have all but disappeared from my computer so I had to pull a mani from the vault!

Happy day today!
One of my favorite things in blogging life is when a new batch of polishes show up from Chirality.
It's no secret I adore the brand AND the couple behind it, they always drop some amazing lacquers with attitude, and I find they are one of those brands that just has a great story each and every time.
This time they are releasing a line based on Ghosts...not cheesy movie ghosts, but real, scary, haunting your soul ghosts.

Happy Christmas!
Today is our big celebratory day around here. Tomorrow will be the day we sleep in real late and watch Netflix all day. Or maybe the Doctor Who special if we can get our hands on it! Today is also the day I show you some of my "other" favorites this year, starting with Indie polishes...which certainly continued to be a huge trend this year, if not THE trend of the year.
Well here we are, rounding out the bottom 5 of the top 10 list with Number Six today!
Today has a very diverse grouping of colors, I know you were thinking it was going to be a sea of blues and browns and teals - and hey you were right!
More blue, more brown! HA!

![]() | It may not quite be October yet, but around here Halloween is almost every day. I missed a lot of the Halloween fun last year during my "hiatus", so I am pumped to do double time this year. Yesterday I showed you the amazing new fall collection from Chirality, Nails From the Crypt - and today I am showing you two of its polishes with some "art" |

So before we get started I should bring to your attention that these photos are square format. I thought I would try it out since lately it seems like everything is squarely formatted. But it's pretty difficult to get your whole hand in a square frame, and it seems weird looking a little. So this is an even more special post in that it's probably the only one that will show square photos!
It's an LE Post! The only one of it's kind!
Chirality - (S)creme Queen
Chirality - Devil's Night
Chirality - Cropsy
Chirality - The Stuff
Chirality - I Got a Rock
I Got a Rock. Hahaha!! I assume this references It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. This polish is an amazing brown holo with a slight purple lean. I put it next to a milk chocolate brown holo I had and it definitely seemed purple in comparison, but on the nail it looks like a gorgeous brown.
The holo in this is very good, but I always have the damnedest time getting the holo to show for me under my lighting setup! This is two coats of I Got a Rock with no top coat.
This is a rich and creamy choice for fall....I love brown holos so so so much lately, so this is a hugely welcome addition to my collection!
So creamy and dreamy.
Cropsy - Have you heard of the legend of Cropsy? He's some weird boogeyman urban legend who stalks the woods with an axe...its kind of like one of those stories you hear around campfires and what not. This polish is based on the character of the same legend from the movie The Burning. THIS Cropsy is less scary - a gorgeous yellow sheer base with red and yellow glitters. There are circles, hex's, shards, micros - its a great array of campfire wonder.
I paired Cropsy up over (S)creme Queen - this is just one coat and top coat. It's glitter packed!
As you can see by the big circles, no problems keeping those on the brush at all. This polish will slightly alter your base color as its tinted yellow, but since I put it over a fairly dark base, its not very noticeable here.
And matte? Holy heavens! So perfectly harvest-like.
Devil's Night - A classic name for the night before Halloween. There are so many names for the nights leading up to and following Halloween - but this is my favorite. Coincidentally, this is also my favorite of the collection. A stunning dark eggplant leaning brown with blurple shimmer. Obvious shimmer.
I can hardly describe the base. Simply put, it's Raven-esque. Dark and deep and intriguing. Is it brown? Purple? Burgundy? Black? Whatever it is, it is Noir at its best.
This is 2 coats of Devil's Night, no top coat. Has a great shine and a smooth finish and application. That shimmer...the minute I unwrapped this, I am certain I let out a small gasp of wonder.
And matte its just becomes so mysterious. It does seem to lose a bit of its allure when mattified, sometimes thats the case. But I think it still looks equally beautiful and understated - and VAMPY.
Micro flakies!! See why I'm so in love? This polish won me over so much in fact that it currently resides on my sidebar as a "Gnarly Need"!
(S)creme Queen - what a fantastic name! A throwback to the days of old Horror B-Movies and the legendary Scream Queens. This polish runs more jelly than creme, but with full opacity at 3 coats, let's split the diff and call it a crelly.
At first coat this polish comes off pure grape jelly. But after 3 coats you are left with this insanely glossy blood on your hands. The best kind of blood on your hands! This is pure Autumn into Winter polish right here. Formula was immaculate.
This is NO top coat ya'll! I mean, I can (S)creme it louder, but do I have to!?!
If you are careful I think you may be able to pull this off in two coats even. I swatched this twice on accident, and the first time I did 3, but these pictures I only did two.
The Stuff - classic horror. I haven't even seen this movie, but I need to. I need to spend some time really digging through the horror parts of my Netflix queue. I have so much in there I feel I'll never see it all. And horror is my jam. It's almost all I watch. Anyway - this is a fun polish - its a medium lavender with copper microglitters! I love copper glitter!
You'd think an awesome lavender polish with copper glitter would be enough right....but then Amanda went and made it matte! MATTE! You know how this pulls at my heart strings.
It's actually more of a rubber finish, which is even better, I prefer color polish to dry like this and not flat matte. This is 2 coats with no top coat. It's like wearing a latex costume.
And I threw a top coat on to show you how nicely she shines up. Not bad for something named after Goo!
So there you have the new Chirality Fall/Halloween collection.
Chirality has really made a name for themselves, not only in the polish world, but also as a couple of really awesome people who have a wicked love for creepy, horrifying things - just like me.
I love building relationships with people like Amanda and Jason of Chirality - and if you have yet to buy from their line, now is really the time.
Well not NOW, but on Monday.
September 30th this collection will be launching, so make sure you get in line for it...I guarantee you will be sad if you miss these.
The thing to note here is that Chirality is really known for awesome holos and glitterbombs - so to see them doing jellies, cremes and shimmers is amazing! First go out, they nailed it!
They're all amazing, but for those of us who can't buy all the polishes, there are definitely some stand-outs here you cannot ignore!
I've also got a bonus nail art to show you tomorrow featuring a couple of these polishes!
MCChris For the Win! A Chirality Nail Polish Review

ALSO to note in this post - I has a new camera!
These are the first posted shots using it, and actually the first nail shots I took with it. It was a learning curve and afterwards I thought to myself, I probably should have tested this thing out before doing a bunch of swatches and hoping for the best!
But I can safely say that after pulling them up on my laptop I was blown away with the detail I got.
So yay! I have posts that will trickle though in the next month or so that were done with my old camera but I just thought I'd let you know these are new camera shots, and what do you think? See a difference or not really?

Chirality Nail Polish - MC Chris For The Win Collection
Check these babies out!
Fun, right?
All of the swatches below are 2 coats each polish, standard application with slight dabbing method and one coat of Out the Door top coat.
First up - Distant Lands:
Ok - now this song is awesome because of this line right here:
I'd protect your feet from glass like my name was Lloyd.
AWWWWWWWW - you know, that's a tip of the hat to Say Anything, which is probably one of my absolute favoritest movies in the worldy world.
Distant Lands is a kind of sage green crelly base with lots of awesome glitter bits and holo sparklies. Predominant colors in this are the green base and lots of purple glitters, followed up by holo and black glitters!
No problems on this formula - though to note as always with these types of polish, bigger glitters usually need a little extra digging through the bottle to get to, this was minimal (to note, they all had minimal fishing).
As I said, this is 2 coats of Distant Lands plus top coat. Smooth polish and easy application - exactly what I would expect from Chirality!
Have I mentioned I love circle glitter?!
Who doesn't!!!???
Next up we have Emo Party:
Emo Party OMG! A grey HOLO!!! Wait - a GREY HOLO WITH RED AND BLACK GLITTER!!!!!
This is what they mean when they say "I can die happy now"
Friggin A man....this polish is just perfect. Applied perfect, glitter came out perfect, glitters showed through the base perfect and 2 coats covered perfect!
I know this is a "holo" but to me it shined almost as more of a grey with gold shimmer base. I didn't quite get the same rainbow sparkle I would with a holo, but to be honest, this goldish shimmer works better for me and for this polish! Maybe its a gold holo?
IDIE!!! How do you not love and need this ASAP?!
Ok - everybody calm down and let's move ahead to Fett's Vette:
This is most undoubtedly the most popular MC Chris song - based on the character Boba Fett from Star Wars. Also my favorite song of his - because I love BOBA!!!
You've heard it if you've seen Robot Chicken or Zack & Miri Make a Porno. Or who knows what else. But it's awesome and I'm a geek.
Fett's Vette is a sky blue holo crelly with grey, silver and blue glitters. You will even find some large blue circles in there if you look hard. They kind of get hidden by the polish base in the bottle because of their similar coloring, but on the nail you can't miss em! They're holo blue!
Something about this polish, these big blue circles, reminds me of the moons of Tattooine! Star Wars trivia for the win!
Told you those circles were holo! I love that even though this polish is a bona-fide glitterbomb, its tame enough in its monochromity to pass as semi-work-appropriate.
Again - great application and smooth finish!
Time for Nrrrd Grrrl:
Nerd girl, I don't deserve you
I don't get the references you refer to
I love your Lipsmackers and your lack of perfume
I hope to get you home by curfew
I don't get the references you refer to
I love your Lipsmackers and your lack of perfume
I hope to get you home by curfew
Oh Nrrrd Grrrl - let's make babies. This pinkish red crelly base polish is LOADED with black and white (or pink?) glitters. Mainly circles, with a smidge of smaller hex glitters as well. It's like art without trying.
I'm not kidding about art either...when I put this on my boyfriend told me he liked it better than half the nail art I do. Thanks dude.
This is again just 2 coats plus top coat. It covers beautifully and the glitter combination in this is just so awesome. It's the easiest thing you can do to your nails and come out looking like a genius.
Forget splatter nails - this is where its at ya'll!
Last but not least - Potato Cakes!
See we both work at Arby's but in separate sections
And she doesn't know I like her, that she gives me erections
And she doesn't know I like her, that she gives me erections
Potato Cakes! If you know me at all...i love potatoes. I'll eat them in every way imaginable and I could eat an entire meal of just potatoes. I'll dip a fry in mashed potatoes. I don't even care. Sweet potatoes? Why not! This polish reminds me of Sweet Potato Casserole my grandma used to make at Thanksgiving, with the marshmallows on top.
Even though it's named after Potato Cakes from Arbys (LOL) - it totally reminds me of fall. A gorgeous burnt orange crelly base with gold, white and green glitters. Large white hex glitters and some mylar shards too!
2 coats with top coat.
Look at that tremendous golden shimmer. Its sort of a holo gold and mixed with the white and green glitters it is the most amazing combo!
So you want the scoop on these polishes?
They are going on sale TODAY!
Saturday, July 27th.
