It's Christmas toy time!
My dog is about to have a toygasm when Christmas rolls around if opening this months Barkbox is any indication.
The cute little comic wrapping...
Our December card.
Some duck flavored treats.
This was interesting, is was the texture of like cardboard or a rice cake, and it made a HUGE mess just like cardboard. But she liked it.
More treats, and if you've been here before for Barkbox unboxings, you might know my dog isn't into treats. AT ALL. Oddly enough this bag was sitting at my feet while she perused the box and she decided to bulldoze it and tear it to pieces, treats flung through the air and she didn't eat one of them, but she loved the bag.
Ok, this is cute. He's about 6 or so inches tall.
A cab, with a dog driving. Adorable. Neither one of these seem particularly sturdy though this month, more on that below.
Someone was a little feisty and opened it herself.
The tree was the first thing to catch Lexi's eye, it has a cute squeaker but I can tell it won't last long, its on par with a childs stuffed animal.
Whats next Dad?? Gimme.
The nutcracker. He was no match for the toy killer.
She demolished him in under an hour. He is a giggler and his gigglebox was a hard plastic tube that I caught her gagging on after she ripped into him, not the best thing to find in your dogs mouth, but she enjoyed him and will continue to as she rips out his stuffing and flattens him in the coming days, she has a system.
Barkbox starts around $21 a month depending on the box you choose and as always, I highly recommend it! Now through 12/24 you can get your first box for FIVE BUCKS!

For someone who really doesn't get into the hype and spirit of Christmas, I gotta say I'm kinda into it this year. Maybe it's just freedom I haven't had in a really long time, but I'm happy, I'm working and able to support myself albeit with much help from my boyfriend, who is also a big reason I'm into Christmas (though he is not quite as much!), and of course our little princess fur baby, Lexi. Anyway, reason I say that is because I keep having these URGES to do Christmas nail art.
I'm sure if I look back on my blog I won't find many designs for Christmas, Halloween is my jam for sure, but I love the cold weather and everyone seems to be in better spirits. How about we get on with this, though? I can ramble at times.
So for todays look I started with a simple blob design, I used Orly Dayglow for the white base and on the thicker second coat I added dollops of A England Dragon and Ruby White Tips Man Eater and let those kinda swirl into and around each other.

I was happy with this look but I wanted to stamp on it. I looked through my plates and had literally nothing for Christmas, but I did have an image on the MoYou Mexico 01 plate that resembled a Fair Isle sweater print, and so I continued!
But the best was definitely when I matte top coated it with Essie Matte About You. Yesssss.....so good I actually decided to make this a full manicure for most of this week!

Welcome to your tape, Monday!
It's full of shimmery goodness and there is no need to hold you up from pushing play...let's check out the 4 polishes I snatched up during the ILNP Winter/Holiday presale event,
First up is Countdown - Gold and Silver Holographic.
You know how I feel about gold and silver by now. Ugh. This was the first polish I tried and good god ya'll...it was a one coater! Granted I did two just to erase any VNL but you can easily skate by with one and done here. You know there was actually a time when I wasn't impressed by holographic polishes? Now I'm borderline obsessed...but I'm getting there.
Next up is On The Rocks, and believe me when I tell you this beauty looks like a cup of bejweled coffee. It's got brown, gold, copper and even a bit of a rose shift to my eyes. This is 2 coats of glittery gorgeousness.
I am always a sucker for ILNP's murky shifters, like this one, Salem. This shimmer shifts from Green to Red but in the bottle I mainly see green to purple, and on the nail that purple is really hard to get ahold of. I was able to get up to a blue shift but even the green on it's own is worth the price of admission.
And last but certainly not least is Sparks May Fly...like most of the world, I love a good shade of mustard when it comes to beauty, its such a unique and ugly shade and my god when you add some holo to it...the sky is the limit. Such a deep and crusty gold shade!
What do you think of the new stuff from ILNP? Did you pick anything up from this release? I definitely wanna get a few more after Christmas when my fun money can start accumulating again.
